Are we heading towards a failed democracy?

A child dies in the incubatory of a hospital due to the negligence of the staff. Parents run around for justice to all and sundry, yet to no avail. Finally, they placed the dead body of the child on a busy cross-road. The entire administration, including the media, came to take notice of the issue.
A woman is given talaq (divorce) by her husband. The role of two clerics is supposedly wrong, as per the woman. This woman approaches certain TV correspondent for assistance. The TV crew accompanied the woman to meet the clerics. But story is still not made until the women started beating the clerics with chappals.
A man runs from pillar to post seeking justice. Sole of his shoes come out but the concerned people do not come to listen to his problem. Finally, he collects the media, douses himself with kerosene and immolates himself. The story of injustice met out to him is aired on all the channels and the concerned officials promise action will be taken against the guilty.
Countless people sit at Jantar Mantar or designated places for protest in the capitals of all states but their protests fall on deaf ears. The moment a politician joins their cause and threatens a stir, certain public vehicles are burnt, few innocent people thrashed for no fault of their own, a police lathi-charge takes place, and their causes get highlighted.
Where is justice? Is justice only for those who take the law in their hand and know how to get their voice heard? Will a common man ever get justice in such a system?
